V0.2.0: New time machine screen, timer pause and minor fixes

Hi everyone,

We went to a small event in Lyon named Indie Game Lyon, people tried our demo and share us some feedback. We decided to implement it right away in the demo, here is the list!

New time machine screen

We saw a couple of players struggling to find the screw hole into the time machine... So we updated that! Game should be easy at first, so we decided to help a bit by adding more visual hints.

Timer pause

People read dialogs at a different pace, and we didn't want that the game's experience changed because of how fast you read dialogs. Now, the timer pauses while characters are speaking. Really feel more comfortable for a lot

Minor fixes

Library door dialogues didn't trigger, new UI sprites, fixing a bug during the time loop, a couple of typos...  Now we added everything we had in mind, and now we'll go forward for the next updates :)

What's next?

Well, we are working on making a full game of this. It takes time, and I (just me, the dev!) am working on finishing Inspector Waffles Early Days, which will be out this summer. Feel free to play the demo here on itch.io or to wishlist the game on Steam!

When Early Days will be done, I'll be more focused on Pixel's Time Paradox.  Everything should go faster starting this summer :)

Stay tuned and thanks for your support!

Take care,

Yann

Nice work! On my first playthrough, the screw hole screwed me over too :D Looking forward to trying this new version and the full game in the future!

Thanks Steven! Let me know what you think, I'm curious to see if it will help!

Definitely makes sense this way. It is much more obvious that there is something that should be done with the screw hole.
